Windows 7 Configuration

This three-day instructor led course provides training and hands-on experience of installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 7 client operating system.  It is aimed at IT professionals who wish to expand and enhance their knowledge and technical skills with Windows 7 client and networks.

This is Microsoft course 6292A in preparation for Microsoft exam 70-680: TS: Windows 7, Configuring.

The course covers:

  • Performing a clean install of Windows 7.
  • Upgrading to Windows 7.
  • Migrating user data and settings from previous versions of Windows.
  • Configure disk, partitions and volumes.
  • Configure and manage device drivers.
  • Configure networking with Windows 7.
  • Secure Windows 7.
  • Manage performance and reliability of Windows 7 computers.
  • Configure mobile computing and remote access settings for a Windows 7 computer.
